The ABD of health
Having designed dozens of taps, accessories, furnishing components and showers, it can definitely be said that Paolo Pedrizzetti knows bathrooms well.
The famous product designer’s ongoing collaboration with Ottone Meloda, has fully satisfied expectations, giving life to two new products destined to scale down the generalized trend of designing self-important and often exaggerated hi tech taps, with flashy features that sometimes fail however to convince. At first sight, the characteristic shared by these new tap designs is unmistakably their colour, together with a new concept that is of primary importance for Ottone Meloda, that of the personalization of products, catering for the preferences of increasingly less passive and more demanding consumers.
Then, here it is Gronda, distinct forms blended with soft sensations and colour are in themselves a winning formula for an innovative and avant-garde tap, but surprisingly this tap also boasts an unusual spout in silicone.
And Colors (a revision of Ottone Meloda’s Pulse model), which ushers in a new way of playing with colour in the bathroom.
In this case it is the handles that are in soft non-slip silicone, giving an enjoyable feeling of suppleness, and they are also interchangeable, allowing different models and combinations to be chosen as tastes evolve.

Cersaie 2011, we’re ready!
Everything’s ready for the participation of Ottone Meloda at the 2011 edition of Cersaie (Hall 34, Stand A38 / B37) to be held from 20 to 25 September at Bologna Exhibition Centre. After last year’s event focussing on the green economy
and energy saving, this year’s show returns to the theme of sustainability with a series of projects that will not only spread a culture of ecological awareness but
will also help to reduce the environmental footprint of the event itself. In the same spirit, Ottone Meloda will also limit its production of printed materials to a minimum, recycling shopping bags, publishing electronic price lists and for the first time distributing press kits to journalists starting from a simple QR code. The various new products to be presented at the Ottone Meloda stand will include the most recent additions to the successful Win Line range, the Kiwi and Nashi taps, featuring fine quality at amazing prices, the lively Colors and Gronda models created by Paolo Pedrizzetti, the new ABD anti-bacterial device system, now fitted as standard on all Ottone Meloda tapware, and an important preview of various new solutions that in typical Ottone Meloda style will offer the forecast 90,000 visitors a characteristic touch of comfort, ingenuity and technology!
KIWI AND NASHI, THE BEST FROM OTTONE MELODA IN TWO NEW FRUITS
From the greenest branches of the Ottone Meloda "tree", two tasty new fruits: they are KIWI and NASHI taps, destined according to their designer to deeply penetrate the heart of the market, where the desire for innovation beats most strongly, and precisely where KIWI and NASHI are looking to make themselves known. Simple but rich in content, familiar but at the same time citizens of the world (like the health-giving fruits from which they take their name), these two new Ottone Meloda products aim to climb the popularity charts of users and installers alike, not always in agreement in their respective viewpoints on technical features and visual appeal.
After succeeding in the first and most important challenge, that of maintaining the high quality standards of the original archetype LIME, and even managing to limit costs, KIWI (also created by designer Andrea Zani) shares with NASHI (intended for a slightly higher range) all the best characteristics today to be found in an Ottone Meloda product. To mention just some of these characteristics, this means authentic Made in Italy taps (with QAVR certification), Pure Water Process technology (free from nickel and lead), double eco-friendly chrome plating (electroplating system with zero wastes) and Easy 3 (fitting in only 3 minutes). In a few words: performance and style at an unbeatable price, with the added assurance of the lifetime guarantee that only Ottone Meloda offers on all its products. Designed to be fitted with the new WSD (Water Saving Device) and ASD, KIWI and NASHI complete the renewal of the medium category range of bathroom taps from Ottone Meloda.

Adopt a WSD, the opinions of the specialized press in conjunction with the World Water Day
"Sorry translation is not avalaible"

Long committed to the search for green-oriented solutions, Ottone Meloda is the promoter of Save water! Adopt a WSD, a campaign to raise public awareness on the theme of water saving, and aimed in particular at the trade press, as journalists, editors and freelance correspondents collaborate by testing all the advantages of the new Water Saving Device® System in their own homes.
Feedback from test participants will be made public during the specialized IHS trade show in Frankfurt (15–19 March 2011), where the theme of sustainability will also be highlighted by the Blue Responsably project. This is a campaign dedicated to the responsible use of nature’s most precious resource, and it will be present at ISH in Hall 4.0.

Visitors will be able to view documentation and information on world water consumption in a spectacular presentation, with themed towers projecting films illustrating a vast variety of important facts about water saving, from the global water supply system to the wide range of water saving devices made available by modern technology. In addition, meters showing the world’s water level will be installed in two positions on the show site, allowing visitors to compare the dimensions of the world population with the total amount of water they consume. Part of the campaign will also be devoted to the presentation of the new Water Efficiency Label (WELL), a European classification system for bathroom and kitchen fittings and accessories. Journalists interested in attending are invited to call +39 348 7910120.
