The designer
H.T. CHANG received a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in 1988. He was born in
Taiwan, where he first studied architecture in college. After working for several reputed firms in New York City, he started his own
practice five years ago.
Combining Eastern and Western influences has led to a uniquely personal sensibility that invests his works large and small. His portfolio
shows a complete design spectrum that ranges from urban and architectural designs to interiors, lighting, furniture and fixtures.
His most recent work may be found on the premises of AF Supply, a ten-thousand-square-feet bath & kitchen showroom in New York City,
where he designed the lighting, exhibit system, work station modules and office furniture, even the artwork. Ottone Meloda had commissioned
Mr. Chang to design a faucet series, Profili, in 1999. The market success led to three other series, including ALL, the first aluminum
faucet in the world.
